Once I was sleeping with a girl and my arm was her pillow. I woke up before she did but I didn't want to move because that would wake her up. So I tried falling back to sleep and going into an immobile state but it led to more discomfort and unrest. Still, I did not move until every part of my body was experiencing agonising pain and unbearable itchiness. I didn't move until my lips turned into wire sponge and my body went into deprivation mode. My body started eating itself muscle fiber by muscle fiber and I died.
She woke up later, and couldn't tell that I had passed away. So she too, like me, stayed still, worrying that any movement might wake me up. She too, died of hunger and dehydration. Now we both can stay in this state of paralysis forever without worrying about waking each other from this everlasting sleep.
